Healthy Aging Education Sessions
The Algoma Ontario Health Team is hosting the Spring 2025 Healthy Aging Education Series. The sessions will cover a range of topics including healthy aging, physical activity, healthy eating, medication safety, mental health and wellbeing, elder abuse and fraud, and care planning/caregiver support.
Location: Rosedale Hub (90 Chapple Ave.)
Dates: Every Tuesday from April 8th to May 20th

Primary Care Network Chairperson
The Chairperson of the Primary Care Network (PCN) in Algoma will lead and facilitate the collaborative efforts between primary care providers in the region. The Chair will play a pivotal role in streamlining decision-making processes and ensure that local clinical priorities are effectively identified, prioritized, and implemented to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. The Chair will oversee the alignment of the PCN’s initiatives with broader health system goals, focusing on improving patient care, enhancing population health management, and breaking down barriers to equitable healthcare access.

Community Advisor (COPD)
The AOHT is looking for Algoma residents to share their Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) story with us. We are seeking patients or caregivers from across the Algoma District to provide lived experience insight that will support local COPD initiatives. This will be a one-time, confidential discussion.
